Oliver König is currently considered one of the most talented motorcycle racers of the new generation in the Czech Republic and is the only Czech rider at the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK).
Born in Prague on 18th March 2002, Oliver competed in his first motocross race when he was just seven years old. Aged just eleven, he became domestic champion on road circuits in the Junior Minibike B category, and was crowned European champion at the Stock 250 Championship in 2015.
In 2019 he began competing in the WorldSBK‘s entry-level Supersport 300 class, and took third place in a race on home soil at the Autodrom Most in 2021.
In December 2021 Oliver was selected as Spanish racing team Orelac Kawasaki‘s only new rider based on data from training sessions and qualification from a single race in the WorldSBK‘s Indonesian round, in which Oliver had the opportunity to compete. He became the first rider in history to make the transition from the 300 Supersport class to the WSBK Royal Cubature and the youngest rider to do so for the 2022 and 2023 season.
